#506 GEORGIAN BAY WATERS. THE MITCHELL FAMILY

Jeff, Jane, Greg and Andrew Mitchell
MAP REFERENCE # 30 (Link)

The Mitchells became a part of Woods Bay on August 1st, 2006.  We purchased the property from The Knapps.

History: Originally the property was an old farmstead.  The next set of owners lived in our small (10 x 10) boathouse while they built the original section of our cottage.  Then Gisela and Steve Knapp added on to that building.

Memories:  In 2006, Greg was 5 and Andrew was 3.  Our family has been fortunate to be able to grow up at our cottage and spend every summer on Woods Bay creating many very fond memories.  We have had fun going on adventures to Moon River Falls, to Wreck Island and to Sans Souci for ice cream!  After dinner is the time when we go out fishing as a family and when the power goes out we look forward to playing board games.  Each summer, our goal is to share what we are so blessed to have with family and friends.  Our favourite tradition takes place on Labour Day Weekend.  This is when all of the members of our “Cottage Cheez Band” gets together for our annual jam session. We’ve missed this during COVID and look forward to when we can get together soon.

Our funniest memory has to be when our neighbours up on the hill called us at home to tell us that our boat sank!  Oh… what fun times we’ve had on Woods Bay.

Cheers to great friends, great neighbours and to many more fun times on Woods Bay!
